Understand workspace permissions
Viewer
Viewers can read the project overview, see documents in their workspace and request an export of a document they can access. A viewer cannot manage workspace members or change their role.
Editor
Editors maintain project content and help keep shared resources current. Give someone editor access when their work includes updating documents, and review that access when the project changes hands.
Owner
Workspace owners are responsible for membership and administration. Keep a clear record of who owns the workspace and review member access at project milestones.
Links and workspace boundaries
A document link identifies a resource; it does not make someone a member of another workspace. If a link is unavailable, ask the resource owner to check membership rather than passing around another person’s session.
